As with the large variation in use and meaning, also comes a huge variation in design.  The important thing with a promise ring is remember that you have a specific style and budget in mind.  Most of these rings come in any metal from silver to platinum and in any stone from cubic zirconia to diamond.  Picking the ring one is as simple as know what you like and knowing your budget.  Selecting a ring with diamond and platinum will raise the price incredibly but if you like silver and cubic zirconia, you can purchase a ring for a very reasonable price.  Also there are many gemstone variations that can be purchased which make it not only beautiful but more significant.
